Get All Aboard

This resource was created, in partnership with Dr. William P. Hitchcock, to help parents and caregivers get on board and stay on track for asthma control.

Inside, you’ll find easily understandable information on the signs and symptoms of asthma, environmental triggers, and how to recognize uncontrolled asthma. You’ll also learn about treatment options and tips for making asthma control part of your child’s daily routine.

Asthma can be difficult to diagnose in young children because they may have trouble expressing pain and discomfort. And although asthma has serious health consequences, many parents don’t know how to keep their child’s asthma under control.

Topics in the resource include

  • Asthma symptoms
  • Asthma triggers
  • Signs of uncontrolled asthma
  • Tips for talking to your doctor
  • Treatment options
  • How to stay on track

You also can take a pledge to control your child’s asthma. And you can find free local asthma screening events to help determine if your child has asthma.
